Dear Stefan,

My blind spot was so severe at first that I could hardly read a book,
because whatever I focused on, the center would literally disappear from my
vision. When I tried to read, I had to read "out of the corner of my eye."
I was very upset, because I was a typist and was afraid I could never type
again. But after a little time passed, the blind spot became smaller. I
can still see a kind of blurring at the center of my vision, and when I
look at someone from further away, their face is fuzzy to me. I cannot
make out details from far away at all. In my case, the blind spot is
severe enough that no testing was required! I wish I could tell you how
long I looked at the sun, but I am not sure. I can say that it must have
been over 10 minutes.

Michele
