If you look on fasting as a way to avoid the effects of negatives in foods,
so allowing the body to use its energy to remedy what needs it, then
Would it be better to avoid the negative foods, and eat positively? Thus
getting extra energy and other needs into the body and perhaps producing
more rewarding results - such as the ability to continue to work and do
things normally ( and less smelly breath :>)

Of course, the important part of this approach is to know exactly what
foods are desirable.

In general, I think that each one of us is different so there cannot be a
"one size fits all" approach.

I went on some rather extended juice fasts ( about six months each) on
fresh carrot juice (2-3 pints/day) and barley-leaf juice ( about 1
pint/day), and was able to do quite alot. Rather than smelly breath, I
got rather yellow/orange skin. Actually, after a bit I had virtually no
body odour even without washing for months!!
Unfortunately since eating again, I have needed to learn to wash
frequently again.

But I now think that fasting is for the birds (they have to fly fast
enough to stay in the air - get it? ;>)
But I can only say that since I sorted out some foods that are really good
for me, and the person who helped me do this is Dr Peter J De'Adamo in his
book "Eat Right For Your Type" - ie he has found correlations between foods
and blood types. I have been eating this way for three or four months, and
things are definately improving on all fronts.

I hope this is of interest,

Regards, Lynton
