I guess so. I came onto this list a few months ago and it was already a bit
choppy--hard to get a handle on. How about we give it a fresh start and
introduce ourselves so we have some idea of where we're coming from.

Almost 8 years ago (age 26), after a few months of Natural Hygiene (ala Fit
for Life) I started eating instinctively. Since then I have been 100% raw
but not 100% instincto, mixing and juicing at times. I have had the good
fortune to live for two years in Peru, and four years in Thailand (the
fruitarian's utopia) and several months in New Zealand. In a few weeks I
will return to North County San Diego for a time.

My wife has been along thru this journey and we have been thru the gutter
on all the food stuff but seem to have survived. She is now a year w/o
exceptions.

What I eat varies with where I'm living. In Peru, we ate lots of fruit (esp
avocado) and fish. In Bangkok, almost entirely fruit for weeks and months
at a time (esp young coconuts, pineapple and durian). In New Zealand
shellfish (freely gathered) and pastured meat play a more prominent role.
In the states we tend to drift to salads (no dressing/spice) and find that
we can get carried away with mixing. (ie a salad is not so attractive so we
add seaweed or onion to liven it up, drifting from instinct).

I find that vegetables are rarely attractive, Indeed my faves (cherry
tomatoes, red peppers, cukes, and avos) are really fruits. Celery is the
only veggie I'd actually miss. Oh...sweet corn too.

So, there's a thumbnail and a rambling from me to get things rolling.

Hey all, who am I talking to?? Introduce yourselves, eh?

Cheers,
Kirt
