Hi,
You ended your depression submission with:

>... Anyone have experience with >this sort of thing? Or at least some ideas?

Interesting problem. Can't blame you for shunning, or wanting to shun, the
chemical medications while doing a raw diet, but the continuing depression
is challenging.

For what it's worth, have encountered various folks doing mosly raw food
over the years, who still have bouts with "depression."

Don't know if you've run into the thesis that it is normal to have bouts
with "depression," that it's a very regular part of life, and, as long as it
doesn't take over one's life altogether, it's infrequent episodes might well
be considered a time for meditative reflection and readjustment of one's
direction...i.e. an opportunity, rather than a purely negative experience.

Also read, recently, about sleep studies. Apparently there is now much
documentation and experimental replication to authenticate the thesis: that
too much sleep can trigger serious and lenthy bouts of clinical
"depression." You may have read this, too, but just in case.

Also, don't know how long you've been on a more pure dietary, but depending
on one's age, length of time on a clean diet, etc., it can take quite a
while for things to clean out metabolically enough to effect noticeable
relief in older problems

Also, have you included a good source of metabolic trace mineral (colloidal
or electrolyte) supplimentation in your diet? As you probably know, even
the finest genuine organic food these days, rarely has its proper and full
compliment of trace minerals, since the growing medium is usually much
depleted of these human essential trace elements.

Good luck,

Ric
