Hi Ward ! The reason may be that you find it easier to sleep after
eating bananas as  compared to other fruit is that bananas are rather high
in melatonin, a sleep inducer.

Dear Sandy,

Do you know how much melatonin is in one bananas?  Also, does the
degree of ripeness affect the amount?
