Thanks, I originally tried the Mason threaded tops with cheesecloth,
via Ann Wigmore's old recomendation, but finally ended up going with
a plastic(bluh, but no rust) and stainless steel mesh made by a
company called Rainbow? Your idea sounds pretty neat as well.
