I think our digestive tracts are long enough and our physiology efficient
enough to handle both digestion and elimination at the same time. It
seems to be a matter of degree for me. It's taken me three years of raw
food to get consistent natural hunger and I suspect it's related to how
much my gut has been cleaned out. The body has feedback systems to
tell the brain when to eat. Have you used cassia? Natural hunger isn't
strong in the early AM until I have eliminated, but I get it again even
if I don't eliminate after breakfast.
Now that I'm guided by natural hunger, I don't find my intake is small.
In fact it has increased. I also think my elimination has improved--I go
in between meals usually--becasue I am eating some greens just before
each meal and also because I juice most foods in my mouth and spit out
what is probably indigestible. I'm still experimenting with this, so will
report later.
My best, Ellie
