Cassia is recommended for people eating raw food instinctively, not if
you're eating cooked food. I helps to take toxins from cells by
increasing permeability of cells walls, and has a laxative effect. It's a
black pod-like fruit that tastes like licorice and people test it in the
AM or evening. It has a slight burn for me when it's not needed. I get
it from Manis at Pangaia at RR2 Box 3950, Pahoa, HI 96778. There is much
more in the archives about cassia.

My best, Ellie
