Hi Bodhi,

You've mentioned Stanley Burroughs' lemonade a couple times. I tried
his lemonade "fast" back in the '70s a few times. I found the
lemon/maple taste combination enough to gag on. Then add the
cayenne, YIKES! I ended up taking the cayenne in capsules and
chugging down the lemonade while holding my nose. Honey tastes
much better with lemon but he effectively scared me off from using it.
Anyway, you recently mentioned using stevia in lemonade. I'm curious
about this as I've seen several mentions of stevia but have never
found it in any store. It seems like if this stuff was as great as the
claims, *somebody* would be trying to make some $$$ off it!
So I was wondering how you like it, where you got it, what form it was
in, and how much $$$?

Cheers,
Martha

aloha!
        martha,
                i entered rawness before encountering
_the_master_cleanser_ by stan the man. thus, i never tried it with maple
syrup. many dreams of low temperature dehydrated maple syrup (powder?)
filled my head. how about fresh maple sap, straight from the tree?
anyways, back to burroughs...
he hates honey. i don't. so i use raw honey and fresh lemon
mixed with distilled water. this combo often begins my day on the right
note. hydration!
cayenne powder. aside from the obviously lower energy level of
dried fruit powder compared to the fresh whole fruit, i hear stems & even
an occasional leaf end up in the final product. no thanks. why not go
fresh?
stevia? sweet! ...with an aftertaste. i can get it in powder
or bulk whole leaf. cheaper as leaf, grinding it yourself. a little
over a dollar an ounce? i gave/lent away my bottle of powder, which cost
less than $10, for sure. i wonder about the drying temperature of stevia
leaf, much like i wonder about *all* dried food products... color me
inconsistent, if you will. maybe i should refrain from labeling myself
100% raw. i don't heat my herbal tea above 116f. yet i have no idea the
maximum temperature the various herbal ingredients reached. water laced
with essence of cooking? we need raw laws! "nutrition facts" labels
*must* include heat application information (in my future world). how
about turmeric & chai & cayenne & saffron & raw carob & cumin & all that?

bodhi's version of the master cleanser: eat fresh hot chili's.
drink raw honey lemonade. lay in the sun. yoga & trampoline. swim.
smile. laugh for a living. self-massage. massage barter. meditate.

masterfully,
            bodhi
