Like everyone, Schmid ignores what is inconsistent with his ideas, eh? And
he finds some inconsistancies in others' ideas. I love it; such stuff makes
the world go round. And for a summary of Price's work and the other side of
the vegetarian story it is a must read, I agree.

I hear that Schmid's own diet is 50% veggies and 50% seafood (mostly raw)
and that he eats seafood 3 times a day. Pretty interesting. I may have to
give that a go somewhere down the line and see if life without fruit is
worth living ;)

BTW, I just found a source of fresh sardines, a fish we've never had
before. They are among the fattiest fish (EPA, DHA, omega-3, lipase, etc
etc) which are low on the food chain (plant eaters), and I've always
thought they must be less polluted than mackeral (fish eaters). We are both
stunned by their attractiveness. Since they are small, filleting doesn't
work very well, so I'm just gutting and beheading them. I thought I'd just
end up scraping the flesh of the bone and eating it from there, but Melisa
and I both love the bones as well! Talk about calcium; grams, not
milligrams. Excellent feeling of well-being and contentment for hours after
eating. And we now consider them hallucinagenic as well, but you have to
wait till you go to sleep to dream dream dream like never before.:) Ah,
fish, the brain food...

I just put them on a mesh screen in front of a fan and they ripen
beautifully. (Peter or Ward or whomever, when you want to take the plunge
make a visit, or hell, I'll overnight mail you some! :))
