I'd be interested to hear what others have to say on this subject. Perhaps
I'm a little out of line, or too cynical, or both. But my gut feeling tells
me that many holistic practitioners are following in the footsteps of the
pill-pushing western medicine. For the time being, I have traded my massage
therapy for yoga, which I can do at my own leisure, without someone pushing
 their pills down my throat.

I fear you are right.
It's disconcerting to say the least when one has cut the umbilical cord of
conventional medicine at the risk of losing family, relatives, friends and
public opinon, on the strength of the "wisdom" of some of these "gurus" only
to find they, too, have clay feet.

ie., promoting supplements, freeze dried foods, etc. where formerly they
preached against them.

But then again, perphaps we are being less than charitable in not allowing
them their human fallibilities. They were there when we needed them to help us
make a leap. Can we do less by them.

No one or philosophy has all the answers.

"How quickly we forget" and are quick to judge.

P.S.

FWIW: The dialogue between some of you articulate healthseekers has been
terrific.
Thanks for airing it "in public" so we all might benefit.
