I think that it is impossible to defragment in real time with zero resource conflict.

It is possible to use idle times of the pc to defragment so that there is no significant resource conflict, but that is an entirely 
different matter.  Personally, I am not convinced that this is something that I would want running in the background all the time. 
One more small drag on a computer's resources.  I think that it would be better to apply the money toward a new hard drive...

From what I know, Diskeeper features automatic defragmentation, which means fragmentation is solved as it occurs, in real time. 
Also, you have the option to schedule defragmentation.
According to their website, they have a new technology, which allows defragmentation to be made transparently, with zero resource 
conflict. This means that defrag is made using only unused resources, keeping PC performance untouched.
