Without any more detail it is probably the screensaver that is on. To defrag
close out your screensaver and to make sure nothing else is running in the
background, hit cntrl, alt, delete all at the same time,ONCE ONLY, and hit
end task on each program that it is listed except systray and explorer. This
will have to be done for each program untill the 2 programs above are the
only thing left. Then defrag should run like a charm! There is a program
called End it all and it's free that will automatically do this for you
except the screen saver! Hope this helps, Joseph Rydzy

I have a friend who has tried to defragg her PC it only will go as far as
10%  and wont go no further..Is there a reason for this? I would apperciate
any info  at all Thank you
