I have a 486, Pentium II, Windows 95, 32MB of RAM. My problem is that the
computer has stopped shutting down correctly. When I go to Start/Shutdown
sometimes the screen just flashes and does nothing and other times it goes
to the shutdown screen and just sits there. Windows never shuts down and I
just have to turn it off. Also if I go to Start/ShutDown/Restart the
computer, to reboot it just goes to the shut down screen and stops, I then
have to use the reset button to get it to reboot and then it wants to go
through the Scan Disk thing which takes forever. I usually bypass that but
I can never reboot and leave the room I have to sit and boost it along each
step. Why would it suddenly do this??? and how do I fix it???
Thanks
