Ann: Post your Linksys model number and your DSL modem number
and someone using them might be able to post specific instructions.
I'm using a Westell 2200 DSL modem (OEM model from Verizon),
with EITHER a D-Link DI-704 (OR a USR 8003).
The modem is set to Bridge mode and the Router handles the PPPoE.
(YMMV, since your ISP may or may not use PPPoE)
The modem has a hardware firewall, but the Router(s) do not.
There are "tricks" I can play in the configuration of the Router
and you "could" call full hardware NAT an excellent form of a firewall...
