Microsoft is trying to force everyone to go with XP. This is not
entirely a bad thing since XP is NT version 5.1 and is very stable
compared to any win9x variety including Millennium. However, XP requires
more RAM (cheap today), more hard disk (also cheap), and faster
processors.

I recently heard that Microsoft would no longer support Win98se as of
june 2002. For applications such as video and digital audio, what would
be the best OS after Win98se. Stability is certainly the number ONE
important factor.
