I truly do not know what else to say. This cpu was given to me by an
ex-neighbor last year. It worked fine until about 2 months ago.
Continually, I get a message when I try to use Explorer that there is an
error message, when I check either send or don't send, I'm still sent to my
home page. I can't get onto any web site from there either. If I try,
using my home page, I am faced the with same error message & the whole 9
yards starts over again.
I have tried re-installing Windows 98. I had someone come to my home who
tried to rid it of spyware, but the message comes back.
Should I try to get this thing fixed or get into Windows XP with another
cpu? This thing is an: ACER, name of company, I guess. In other words,
where is the best way to spend money, fixing of getting into something else.
(I'm also talking re-built here). Thanks for any ideas. I'm not getting
much work done, but email is ok. mjt
