Hmmmmmmm, the plot thickens. I thought I'd try Pat's suggestion about
getting the IE and OE archive stuff that I want from the MS Corporate
download site, as I vaguely recall using it successfully a couple of years
ago. So I went here:
http://corporate.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
and agreed to accept the Microsoft certificate, which I was told was
neccessary if I wanted to proceed any further when voila! up pops a window:
"Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered an error and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something
the information you were working on might be lost. Please tell Microsoft
about this problem." (Further bumf follows about privacy and discretion etc.
Yeah, right)

Anyone care to comment about this?
