Bill,

You will need to reset OE to download ALL the messages
for that particular  group.

RIGHT click the group name in the left window pane.
Select PROPERTIES, click the tab for LOCAL FILE
and then click the bottom button RESET.
Finally click OK to close the dialog and then click the
newsgroup to start the fresh download.
