Ray,
This has been previously discussed here. Somebody had already provided an
easy way to do this.... by using Spybots, SpyKiller, Adaware, etc. Most of
these anti-spyware programs are freebies. (Of course it's up to us to show
our support & appreciation to these authors, I always send them a little
*Thank You's* in the form of contribution.) Spybot is one lifesaver for
me. Launching Spybot (S&D) is so easy to do and it saves you time.
I am wondering though why you want to do it the hard way. You must have a
good reason for it (I hope.) Unless you are very knowledgeable in
manipulating Windows System and Registry files, I would listen to the List's
experts' recommendation. It would make your life easier... believe me.
Have a pleasant evening!
Emie DelRosario
