The quickest and easiest way to get a text list of the file names is to use
the old DOS directory command.  It can create a plain text file which you
can then import into almost any application, including spreadsheets.

Just open a DOS window (no need to reboot) and type this command:

DIR drive:\path\folder\*.* > drive:\path\filelist.txt

substitute your drive letter and pathing in both parts.

You will now have a plain text file called FILELIST.TXT which you can import
and "massage" however you want.
