I've used MaxiDisk to get up to 1.6 MB.  It is shareware, obtainable from
our list hosts at
http://freepctech.com/pc/002/files001.shtml
It comes with the usual warnings - this utility can damage your drive and or
floppy disk.  I've tried it with some poor quality disks and they became
coasters afterward.  Good quality disks work well.   MaxiDisk also works
inside Windows and creates disks which and are readable on other machines
without the utility.
