Good day all!

This morning I fired up Quicken to access my bank accounts. Regretfully
I could not connect to the banks via the internet but I could download
the mutual fund prices from Intuit. Up to about 48 ago I had no problem
using Quicken to do the job

After a bit of messing around I figured that Quicken uses IE to
connect. I closed Quicken and opened IE 6 only to see nothing but the
phrase "connecting ....". Aha - the problem is IE.

I did a "sfc /scannow" with no apparent result. I tried to reinstall IE
6 and decided to go the IE7 route. Installation went OK but I still get
the same "connecting ..."

I shutdown ZA Security Suite with no change.

I am using DSL through a router and Thunderbird and Firefox work just
fine - problem appears to be limited to IE.

I removed the router from the loop and connected the modem directly to
the Laptop (Compaq V2414NR with XP Home SP 2) - no change.

So I need some guidance please. Where do i go from here?

Thanks
Preston
