Perhaps I'm not reading your post correctly. Whenever I bookmark a page 
(with both IE and Firefox) I am given an opportunity to change the 
suggested name of the bookmark. So rather than bookmark the page as the 
suggested "home" name, you should be able to name it as you desire.
