I have a question about the security of my home network. I have two PC's
connected to an ethernet hub. On each PC, I have set my file sharing level
to "full access depending on password" so that each PC has to enter a
password to be able to update files on the other PC. I have a cable modem
connected to the uplink port on the ethernet hub so that both PCs have
access to the internet. By setting the security level to full access, am I
opening myself up to hackers coming into my system from the net?
