There is a difference in data format between older versions of Outlook and
ver 2003. I ran into this with my own Office 2003 where my older Outlook
file got corrupted. You might try opening the ver 2003 pst file with Outlook
2003 and also open another pst file that was first created with ver 2002.
You can then drag and drop the e-mail from the new pst to the old pst. It
does not always work properly, but it is something to try.

Good luck.

Our desktop computer recently suffered a corruption, necessitating
replacement of the hard drive. I have MS Outlook 2003 running on my laptop
and MS Outlook 2002 on my recently reloaded desktop. I want to export my
INBOX and subfolder from the laptop (MS Outlook 2003) to my desktop (MS
Outlook 2002). I tried exporting to a .pst file, named "inbox.backup.pst"
but when I tried to import to 2002, it says the file is not compatible and
to contact an administrator. I'm the admin for my home computer, but have
no idea how to do this.
