I recently installed Netscape 6.1 and have been using it for my
primary browser and email client.  It seems to be much more stable
than Netscape 6 and, overall, I'm happy with it's performance so far.

I have not, however, been able to stop Netscape 6.1 from opening
email attachments in the preview window.  If I can't stop this from
happening, I'll uninstall it because of the danger of email virus.
I've visited the Netscape site in search of help for this problem
but did not find anything of worth there.  Under the "Privacy and
Security" tab of the "Preference" menu I've checked "do not load any
images" but that only affects the browser portion, not the email
portion, of the program.

Any help solving this, as far as I'm concerned, fatal problem would
be appreciated.

My system:  Pentium III operating at 800MHz, 20 Gig HD, 512K RAM,
Win ME operating system.
