Doug, Hit cntrl, alt, and delete at the same time once, and another menu
pops up which shows all the other programs that are running in the
background. click on them, one by one, and hit end task, which will stop
that program from running. Only explorer and systray should stay there. This
should let the defrag, now, continue to finish it's process! Joseph Rydzy

running.  I have deactivated the screen saver but do not know how to get to
other programs to deativate them so they are not running so the derag
