The simplest way to do it is to use a dos program with a special cable (file
transfer cable available in most computer stores). The cable connects to
either the serial or the parallel port.

There are also windows programs for this.  One of the most popular is
Laplink, but I think that PC Anywhere also offers the option.

Windows 95 and 98 also have the possibility of doing it, but it's a bit more
complicated to configure.
