Hi,
After reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling Win98se, it no longer
gives me the option in Sound Recorder/file/properties/convert now
to convert snippets of wavs to MPEG Layer 3.  I downloaded all the codecs
in a big package from the MS site...still no mp3 formatting option :(  I
send files via cd to other regulars in a specific focus chat room, and need
all the wavs to be in the same compressed format, so there are fewer
technical problems with less savvy users.

How do I get the MPEG format converting option back in Win98se Sound
Recorder?  After a day of reading news groups and web sites, I am stumped!
