I haven't seen any replies about my friend's Outlook activation
issues.... So I'd like to sidestep them by installing Thunderbird
instead.
I've been running Thunderbird on my own home system for a while, and
it works great -- for receiving email. But I can't get it to send, and
while I've been able to use other alternatives, that's really not
something I can expect my friend to deal with.
The issue seems to be that it has to log into the SMTP server. I've
configured Tbird to say that it needs to send a passwrd for this, but
can't find where to enter the password to be used, nor does it prompt me
for the password when I try to compose and send a message.
Has anyone got this kind of config to work? Any clues about where I
should be looking?
