Hello,
There is, in my opinion, an excellent virus program called 'AVG
Anti-virus' that is free. The site is at
grisoft.com. I have used this software for several years without any
problems.
I also beg to differ with an earlier post regarding virus software not
detecting a virus traveling directly from a web site to an operating system.
Some months ago while I was searching for some info I was on a site and as
soon as I closed IE my AVG virus program alerted me of a virus on my system.
I don't remember exactly what the alert mentioned but it did let me know
that it came from this particular site and where it was located on my system
and what it was called. I did a search of my system and found it and was
able to remove it.
