If you don't have a CDROM, how do you install the Encarta software? If you
use an external CDROM and want Encarta to work even when the CDROM is
disconnected, simply select the "copy to hard disk" option during the
install. I don't remember if that is the exact wording during install, but
there is an option there that frees you of having to have the CD in the
drive.

I have a Compaq that does not have space for a CDROM. Is there a way to
