I got tried of their AVG (free) update server being flooded
and non-responsive. This was a few years ago.
My wife JUST quit Avira (free) a month ago on an old Win-XP-Pro-SP3
box used only for archives.
Their server was VERY bad. (I have FIOS and no other D/L problems.)
YMMV.
