Did you compose this particular message in some word processor or
spreadsheet or other program ? And send it from there ? MAPI is what makes
this possible. (MAPI is Mail/Messaging Applications Programming Interface
[Microsoft]).

If you did, go to that particular program's directory and delete the file
from there first. And then try deleting the message from your communication
software.
