Hello,
If you are talking about the Bios password, you may have to
remove the motherboard battery for 24 hours
to clear it. Or if you have your motherboard book, it may have a
jumper you can change that will clear the password.
Unless you are in a very high risk situation, I can think of no
reason to password protect your bios.
But it can be very handy. You just cannot forget it.
