Robert, I like the idea of a computer being possessed. Isn't it Excel 97
that there's an easter egg showing Bill Gates as the devil?
But I just had an idea. Do you have a large document open in word? And if
so, is the background spell checker running? I have seen this slow my PC
down noticeably with a 40+ page document - it seems to restart after every
edit so basically never completes.
Whatever you do don't sprinkle holy water on your machine. And don't attempt
to overclock the processor at 666MHz.
