Installed office 97 on a e-machine; can get into any application except

ms-word and shut down the machine properly ....   When exiting from ms-word

and go to start-shutdown - shutdown computer; the end task screen pops up

and when clicking on end task pc locks up.. Have to cold boot back into

safe mode before I can boot into win 98 properly. As I stated above this

only happens when I exit from ms-word 97 and go to start-shutdown-

shutdown computer .... Any help is greatly appreciated..  thank you
