Bob,
Go to the Avast site, click on register, fill out the form with a valid
email address. They will send you a code. Right click the icon in the tray,
start Avast, then enter the code in the appropriate area. You are then
covered for 14 months. Great program.

I'm using Avast home free edition.
I have twice received from Avast the following:
"updating license will expire soon"
I searched but didn't find the implications of that.
Will I have to stop using the free version of Avast or
is there a way to renew the free updating license?
I've been more than happy with Avast. I like it a
little better than AVG because the updates are
totally automatic (if you allow it).
I'd appreciate any input.
Thanks, Bob
