EASIEST way might be to uninstall Firefox. Then reinstall it, but tell
it NOT to be the default browser and NOT to check again in the future :)

I don't like it because it opens tabs, so I have to move the cursor all the way up to the tab area to go back to a prior window, instead of me being able to just thumb my mouse "back" button to return to prior pages.

If it only reset the home page & such, and I KNEW WHAT IT RESET!! (help is not very specific) I could use the button and then fix a couple of things. But, if it resets my Security and/or privacy settings, then that's WAY too much stuff to have to change back again. Help says "If you installed another Web browser after installing Internet Explorer and Internet Tools, some of your Internet Explorer settings may have changed. You can reset your Internet Explorer settings to their original defaults, INCLUDING your home page and search pages, AND choice of default browser" Has MS screwed us over again on this one, or is there a simple way to change ONLY the default browser? Or perhaps a registry pointer?
