What happens when he tries to use it? Does it just refuse to let him
put more than 650MB on the disk? If so, it may just be the program. I
use Adaptec CD Creator version 4 and I can make audio CDs with more
than 74 minutes on them with no problem using an older Memorex CD
burner. I've never tried making a data CD with more than 650MB on it
though. On the other hand, perhaps there is something in the drive that
checks the capacity of the disk that is not working. With mine, I
cannot try to put more than 74 minutes on a normal CD but it allows me
to do so on the extended CDs which leads me to believe that there is
something on the disk that gives its capacity. Start by using a
different program like the evaluation copy of Nero and see what happens.
