For the past week I have not been able to get my system to shut down. Gets
up to the Please Wait While Your Computer Shuts Down, and then freezes. In
the past it would power itself off. I have already disabled Advanced Power
Management in the CMOS, and gone through all of the steps in Microsoft's
Support Online, How to Troubleshoot Windows 95 Shutdown, with no luck. The
frustrating thing is that during this process occasionally after making a
change, it did shut down but I could never repeat it. After restarting with
no additional changes, no shutdown again. I think the problem may have
started after installing Norton's Your Eyes Only (yes I did unintall and
clean the registry.) Configuration is a P200MMX, 64k, 3Com 3C509 NIC,
internal Zip drive, Yamaha OPL3-SA sound card, Toshiba CD-ROM drive, US
Robotics 33.6 modem.
Heeeeeeelp!
