Go to www.intel.com download intel chipset installation software. what you
need is simple, to tell the OS what chipset you are using, and how to work
with it. for old chipset eg BX, OS should be able to pick them up, but all
hardware released after that OS (or OS doesn't have build-in driver support)
need to install drivers in order to make them work properly. do not forget
mobo is hardware too.
