It may not make an extreme difference, but check to see how many
fonts are installed in the c:\windows\fonts folder. The more
fonts there are, the slower Windows (95 or 98) loads, since the
OS has to initialize, bless, recognize, whatever ... each one of
them in order to make them available for either the shell or any
applications. You mentioned Corel Legal Edition (WP?). This app
may include quite a lot of fonts.
