Alex,
It would not be a bad idea if you supplied as with more information
about your system and the OS, you run.  I do recall, however that you
mentioned Win98 in your previous posts.  If it is the case, then you can
use a nice utility 'MS System Information' from START /ACCESSORIES
/SYSTEM TOOLS /SYSTEM INFORMATION to troubleshoot your problem.  Take a
look at 'Software Environment' - 'Running Tasks' and 'Startup Programs'.
You can use 'System Configuration Utility' from the 'Tools' menu to
reduce your startup load.  Also try to run a good anti-virus program to
see if it will give you an answer.
