Look for settings like "saving disk space" when it will
recover disk space - so much,  and that type of thing...

Did anyone ask if you move around (to mail folders)
or delete large amounts of mail all the time?
That "might" trigger it automatically.
It IS possible to fill some mailboxes in some programs.
The smart programs warn you, the smarter programs
will either "compress for you" or give you a warning
message about it...

The window appears after I delete mail from my 3 email accounts.  So
perhaps it is a necessary function.  But is it happening to everyone
else who reads and deletes email?  If not, then it is still a peculiar
phenomenon.  Thanks for your suggestion.  Ryo
