DOS is a text based environment, which means that you must type in the name
of the program you wish to execute.  Remember that DOS is limited to 8
characters in the name, so a program called "rumplestilskin" would have a
much shorter command name like maybe "rumple" or "rmpstkn".

You must also include the PATH information so that the computer knows which
subdirectory to look in for the program.  As an example, for the scandisk
program, you would probably type in:
       C:\MSDOS\SCANDISK
and then press the enter key.

On your computer it may not be C:\MSDOS\SCANDISK but it may be
C:\DOS\SCANDISK or some other path.
