We got used to insecure computing with 98 and 95, so these precautions do
seem a bit onerous at times-especially on a one-user home computer.
In Control Panel/Power Options/Advanced, uncheck the "Prompt for password
when computer resumes from standby" option.
This is nicely explained in the Help File under "Standby".
