Hi Folks
Would be interested in knowing if anyone has experience trying to uninstall
MediaPlayer7 in Windows ME.
I intalled W-ME on a clean drive, media player was working fine--played both
audio CDs from my CD Rom no problem and video files.
I decided to install my Wincast TV card. Install went fine and the card
works fine. Mediaplayer plays video ok but audio from my CD Rom plays with
hesitations about every two seconds.
Tried to uninstall mediaplayer from add/remove software. The little baby
won't uninstall. It appears in add/remove to have uninstalled but it still
plays as normal(flawed audio).
Any tips on how to uninstall would be greatly appreciated.

TIA
Art

Hi Art,
I know exactly what you are talking about. When I first installed Windows ME
I had the same problem with WMP 7.0. I could not play any type of music file
at all, CD or MP3. After formatting my drive and doing a clean install of
ME, WMP started to work fine, until I played around with the equalizer
settings. I think that this is where the problem lies. When I turned the
equalizer on, I started to get those 2 second hesitations again, the same
ones you're talking about. Try turning the equalizer off. Also, I don't
think there is a way to uninstall WMP 7.0, it doesn't even appear in my
add/remove programs. I only use it for listening to internet radio and video
clips. I use Winamp for my MP3s and CDs.
