The printing of a "selection" is not part of Windows 98 as I understand it
but rather it is a function of your partricular word processing program.
Certainly, copy and pasting to Notepad or Word Pad is one alternative.
However, I have Office (WORD 97), I regularly print only portions of my
document by :
1. highligting the "selection" that you want to print
2. Click on File/Print/Page Range/Selection.
3. Click OK.
Your printer takes its direction from your wp program also. It "should"
only print the highlighted area.
By the way, only certain portions of web pages and excel spreadsheets can be
printed as well by going through the same or similar procedure. I am
usually too quick to click on the printer icon on my toolbar, but it you go
through the File/Print area that I described above, I am sure you will find
that you can get whatever you need without printing what you don't want.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Printing partial text

| Hi.....
| Recently I read a 19-page article off a website, and I needed to
| print out the information that was valid to my problem. I didn't want
| the total 19 pages, just 3 paragraphs.
| I'm running Windows 98------so how do you print just the part
| that you need? My printer is an Epson 640.
| Thanks from Sunny Conley
